Gulino Family Benefit (Matt Gulino's Family) - 115 Bourbon Street Special Event| Event | Gulino Family Benefit (Matt Gulino's Family)
| | Date | 9/11/2010
| | Time | 3:00-8:00pm
| | Description | On October 25th, 2009 all of us who knew Matt Gulino felt a deep loss. Afflicted with TTP (Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura), a rare blood disorder, Matt was taken from us at the all too early age of 49.
Matt, who grew up in the Garfield Ridge community met his wife and sweetheart Joanne at Kennedy High School. They settled into the Oak Lawn community and St. Gerald’s parish over 20 years ago and became the proud parents of Nick (age 19), Sara (age 16), and Katie (age 15).
Matt, who never shied away from volunteerism, was deeply involved with community, sports and church activities. This level of involvement, along with his unique personality led many to call him the “Mayor” of St. Gerald. His constant smile and positive attitude always helped brighten the day of anyone he encountered.
A group of friends have formed a committee that will help provide Joanne the monetary means that will assist her in providing for the education of their children.
