| | Description | Give Jacob a Chance…The Journey Continues…
Jacob was born at 31 weeks on September 1, 2004. Jacob was diagnosed with Cerebral palsy, cortical visual impairment and a seizure disorder. Jacob’s Doctors told his parents that he would never show any signs of emotions due to the damage in his brain.
Jacob will be 6 years old in September. He has grown into a beautiful blonde hair, blue eyed boy who has the ability to light up a room when he enters. He can laugh, smile and give much love. He continues to prove the Doctor’s wrong. He has made great progress with the help of alternative therapies; however, Jacob continues to require additional treatments to further his progress. The Journey Continues committee has come together to plan a wonderful event for Jacob. The committee is dedicated to ensure Jacob receives the highest quality of life…The committee has also partnered with the Shady Oaks Summer Camp for individuals with disabilities, located in Homer Glen, Il. This camp is the only parent run non for profit camp in the United States. The common goal for both of these causes is to continue to offer ways to better the lives of these individuals; whether it is through alternative therapies or recreational therapies.
Please join us on September 12, 2010 from 2-7 at Bourbon Street to Celebrate the two wonderful causes!
